Our arena and equine expert

Ralea has been in love with horses from a very young age, getting her first pony at the age of thirteen. She was completely hooked ever since. She grew up showing and training Quarter horse, Morgans, Friesians, and just about every other breed you can think.  Showing from Western Pleasure, to Barrel Racing, Reining, Morgan show horses and eventually falling in love with Dressage. Now she is a Grand Prix trainer and rider, hoping to pursue her dreams of riding for the team one day. This year she hopes to debut her 9 year  Holstiener mare  Gatienne T in the Grand Prix. Her mare is recovering herself from a tendon injury from showing in too hard of footing. Ralea knows all too well the struggle and sacrifices it takes to develop these horses to the highest levels of our sport, to have one thing, one injury can crush your hard work and dreams.

What made me want to get into arena building?

I grew up working construction and working on large farms, dairy, turkey, pigs, horses and having to run equipment, maintain properties and arenas.  I learned quite a bit about building and running all sorts of equipment through the years. I have always loved building, and projects, and creating something beautiful from something so sad or broken. I have over the years with my own farms got pretty good at renovations and developing properties into beautiful facilities.

I have made a lot of mistakes and learned from most of them.  I know everything that can go wrong with building an arena at this point and have made all the mistakes, so you don't have to. 

Owners that have spent many tens of thousands of dollars to build their dream ring, only to have one issue after another. Drainage is poor, poor-quality material, footing is hard, too deep, uneven and the list goes on. She has sought out the best arena experts in the country to learn and develop the best arenas for your horse and your discipline. She has searched high and low for the highest quality footing and materials to make sure you get the best arena for your money.

It's my job to help guide you in the right direction and to be your best advocate for your arena.  I will thoroughly discuss your options and go over everything. I personally come to your site and listen to your wants and needs. If for some reason, I don't have the answer I will find it.

Why we developed Grand Prix Arenas?

I was offered this position after having numerous meetings with the owners. I realized quickly that we all wanted the same things, we have the same core values, standards and work ethic. We knew we could offer the very best. Genty and Eland are extremely upstanding and quality individuals, they truly care for each of us, and our clients. They feel blessed to give back to those around them and are constantly pushing themselves to be better individuals, better partners, and better people. They have high standards and values, and this is much more to them then making a dollar. This is about a code they live by. After I realized just how great these guys were, I couldn't pass this up. I knew they would stand behind me all the way to develop this company to the highest standard of ethics and efficacy.
